We are delighted to welcome the award-winning pianist Chris Green-Armytage to Marchmont to give the first solo recital on the newly restored Steinway and Sons Model D Concert Grand piano.
The concert is the third in our Music at Marchmont four part series, led by Simon Leach.
The concert will take place in Sir Robert Lorimer’s majestic oak-panelled Music Room.
Doors will open at 6:30 pm for pre concert drinks which are included in the ticket price. The concert will start at 7:00 pm and finish at 8:15 pm without an interval.

The full programme has yet to be confirmed will include virtuosic and popular pieces, primarily from the Romantic piano repertoire.
No dogs are permitted other than registered guide dogs.
We will happily offer a refund or credit for another date provided 14 days’ notice is given.
Should we cancel the event for any reason a full refund will be given.

Pianist, teacher and composer, Chris Green- Armytage has played throughout Great Britain and in Europe, the US and Asia. He has appeared as concerto soloist at the Barbican and the Festival Hall in London and Carnegie Hall in New York. He has also appeared in many major festivals, broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and recorded for Hyperion.
He studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and the Juilliard School in New York. He made his London debut as a pianist on the South Bank at eighteen and while a student he won the Concert Artists’ Guild Award in New York and received the Harriet Cohen Memorial Award in London.
