The resident artist will be based in our largest studio space, the Old Squash Court, with accommodation in one of our charming Hobbit Pods. This is a four week residency which takes place over the month of September.
The Skyboat Residency for Marchmont is looking to select a photographer who does not usually work in drawing but who wishes to explore 'drawing' as a concept via their work.
The resident will have the opportunity to meet with Charlie and discuss his practice. They will also be invited to a House Tour at Marchmont House. There is a weekly stipend of £350 towards living costs.
There is an opportunity to host a sharing of work at the end of the residency. Otherwise this is an opportunity to explore without the demands of deadlines or deliverables. We hope that the peaceful and creative atmosphere at Marchmont will provide inspiration in an important area of your work.
Marchmont House is not accessible by public transport.
